Bardstown remained hot Friday, extending its win streak to open the season to seven games with a dominant 81-55 win over visiting Green County.
Green County (5-2) saw its five-game winning streak snapped.
The game was close throughout the first half, but Bardstown scored five unanswered points to close out the first half with a 32-27 lead. The Tigers (7-0) then outscored the Dragons 49-28 after halftime to get the easy win and overcome the absence of Corey Hall, who hurt his shoulder against KCD last week.
Demarco Phillips poured in 27 to lead the Tigers. Keaton Hall pitched in 19, and Damian Edelen had 11.
Clint Henderson\'s 20 points led the Dragons in scoring.
The Tigers head south to Franklin-Simpson High School for The Best Of The Best Kentucky Hoops Classic. Thursday at 1 p.m. they will face Allen County-Scottsville in pool play, then meet Atherton at 7 p.m. The Tigers round out pool play Friday at 11:30 a.m. with a matchup with host Franklin-Simpson.
